happy christmas

hi everyone! we had another happy christmas in st louis. gabby enjoyed all the toys and clothes that "santa" brought. well, maybe not the tickle-me-elmo that was supposed to be the homerun hitter. it rolls around on the ground and laughs hysterically. even i'm pretty scared of that thing. gabby's terrified. ...lesson learned.

ice storm

last thursday night we had a wicked ice storm roll through st louis. everything in it's wake was frozen. trees, grass, roads, houses, even my garbage can! it was actually a pretty cool sight with ice sickles hanging from trees and powerlines. unfortunately several homes in the area lost power due to downed powerlines. with the freezing weather we certainly hope everyone stays safe.

taste test

if you didn't know already, adriana really hates celery. in fact she has this uncanny ability to taste even the smallest amount of celery buried in the recipe of several common dishes. yesterday i tried to put this skill to the ultimate test. i put a pinch of celery salt in a bowl of fruit salad and servred it up. the results were shocking!

weekend project

well it's about time that darn dog started pulling his weight around here. yesterday i put him to work. yep, i drug him out to the garage to "help" me paint the attic door.

so the other day i met up with adriana and gabby for lunch. as they were sitting in the car waiting for me, gabby was in the back seat whining a little, saying "mommmmy, mommmmy, mommmy." adriana looked back at her and said in a soft caring voice, "what's the matter sweetheart? what do you want?" gabby looked up and said, "TETE!"
